Health & Fitness You Should Never Share These 6 Things With Anyone
JAN 30, 2015 LISTEN

All ladies have been facing this situation: your friend forgot her deodorant or your sister is all out of soap, if you didn't help them out you would feel yourself super rude. Parents taught us that it is always nice to share, but some items should be reserved for your body only.

Here are some products you should never share with anyone:

1. Soap bars
Those who share their soap are more likely to get some recurring infections. Soap bars have self-cleaning nature, but it is recommended to use liquid soap to minimize germ-swapping. And liquid soap is a thing you can actually share without any damage.

2. Deodorants and antiperspirants
These things can prevent spread of bacteria which cause stinking. But a lot of them have no antimicrobial properties. Many antiperspirants are just slowing your sweating. They can't kill germs that 'jumped' on it. So, you can transfer some skin cells and hair particles from pit to pit.

3. Razors
Sharing of razors has also been known to cause transmissions of fungal infection, also known as ringworm and bacterial infections. In some cases even hepatitis can be transmitted in such a way.

4. Towels
Sharing dirty towels can give you infections ranging from pink eye to gonorrhea. So, think twice before using your friend's towel. Next time you would be sharing your room with someone be sure to remember which towel belonged to you.

5. Tooth-brush
You should not share your tooth-brush even with your partner who you love and kiss all the time. It's an established risk factor for the transmission of blood-borne infections.

6. Nail clippers
When you share nail clippers you can get a nail fungus. Additionally, you face a risk of transmitting blood-borne viral infections, especially if you accidentally clipped your skin. So think twice when your friend would ask to borrow your pair.
