Pastor Sam Adeyemi           |                   Psalm 107 verse 20

We have established that what is consistently seen and heard will enter into the heart and what enters the heart, impacts on one's health (Proverbs 4: 20-22). The Bible contains a lot of God's promises to us, but specifically, we need to see healing in the word. The entrance of the word of God into the human heart marks the beginning of the manifestation of the supernatural in our lives. In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus taught on how to translate spiritual realities into physical realities. The sower went to sow his seeds. The seeds fell on different kinds of soil which represent different kinds of hearts (Matthew 13: 15). The seed is the word of God. The word of God entering the human heart is likened to seeds entering the soil. The state of each heart determines how effective the word of God will be in our lives. The same way a seed takes on a life of its own after entering the soil and begins to grow, is the same way God's word enters the human spirit and births something new – in this instance, it births healing in our lives.

God's creative power is in His word. What you see in the word is what you will see in your world (Hebrews 11: 3). The word of God is like a mirror but unlike the physical mirror which shows your exact reflection, the mirror of the word shows you how God sees you. The power of the Holy Spirit then changes you to become what you see in the word. Therefore, in God's kingdom, what you see is what you become (2 Corinthians 3:18). You have got to see and hear healing before you experience it. What you see will become your reality. While the children of Israel journeyed in the wilderness, they murmured against God and He allowed fiery serpents to kill them. To deliver them, God asked Moses to make a bronze image of the fiery serpent and lift it up on a pole. Whoever had been bitten was healed once the person looked at the image. The basic lesson God was teaching was that they should look at the solution and not the problem; they should look at the positive and not the negative. (Numbers 21: 4-9). Today, take your eyes off the illness, the diagnosis and even the dangerous names they are called and look at the solution.

As a believer, you cannot break God's rules and expect Him to bless you. Being pessimistic, ungrateful and constantly complaining about your current state will impact negatively on your health (3 John 2). God's kingdom runs on words. You frame your world with your words. You cannot speak sicknesses and diseases and then expect healing in your body since what enters the heart is what impacts on your health. For us today, the bronze serpent and the pole is the word of God. In particular, the Cross of Calvary is where our healing was settled over two thousand years ago (Isaiah 53: 4-5; 1 Peter 2: 24). Yield your spirit, soul and body to God today and you will experience His best in every area of your life!
