The rich young ruler in the above scripture was an upwardly mobile young man who wanted to progress in God's ways. Right from his youth he had defined his path in life but he knew there was still more. His heart cried out to get to that level. Jesus saw this in him and Bible tells us Jesus loved him; he touched the Master's heart. This young man paid prices to get to this level but there was more ahead of him. The ultimate price he had to pay was to sell his possessions and give the money to the poor in order to have treasure in heaven and then become Jesus' disciple but he turned back at this junction. He could not pay the price and his journey stopped, his progress came to a halt. The Bible said he went away sorrowfully.

He was the only Man that met Jesus and went away with sorrow. He couldn't pay the price for his dreams. He could not go all the way with Lord. Life is not about desires but making certain critical decisions and paying prices for the next level. If you will get to the height that God planned for you, you must be willing to go all the way with the Lord and be willing to pay the price. Where and when you stop paying prices your journey stops. If you want to board a bus, you need to pay the fare commensurate to the distance. If you are not willing to pay the fare you may not be able to find a vehicle to take you that far. Dear reader, instruct yourself to get ready, keep paying prices- the accurate prices, the precise price. There's a price to pay for your destiny to break forth.

Respond in complete, total and prompt obedience to the demands of God over your life. For a clear cut divine communication on a major decision you need to make in four months time, the Lord may come ahead leading you to pray in the spirit just for an hour daily in those four months, pay the price and take the goodness, sow the seed and reap the harvest. If you skip the praying in the Spirit, in 4 months time you may be confused and not able to discern the mind of the Lord. No Price, No Progress! The rich young ruler had a yearning to move on. Do you know that in the eternal counsel of God, this young man was to be the replacement for Judas Iscariot? The Lord Jesus loved him but he was not willing to pay that ultimate price. He could not go all the way.

Prayer: Father I receive the grace  to go all the way with you, pay the accurate ultimate prices I need to pay for my destiny to become a reality on the earth in Jesus name.
