Letter To My Departed Child...Dear God

03.10.2014 LISTEN
By Francis Williams Pinamang

Pin,
Your humbled and sorrowed dad writes to you. This is the SIXTH in the series of many more letters I intend to send you to express my affection towards you. They will make you aware how I felt the moment you opened your eyes and how life has been the very moment the Almighty allowed death to lay its icy hands on you.

Today's one is slightly different and please do hand it over to God for me, and I would be grateful.

Dear God,
This is just a little letter for you, because we have an agreement.

You are to babysit my little boy for me until I come to see him, I only ask these few things from you,

One; please make sure he gets Eskimo kisses every day, because daddy loved to play that game with him…

Two; please make sure you tell him daddy loves him more than the world's sky, space and even the galaxy, that's a game I liked to play with him too…

Three; tell him his Nana was so excited to have a little grandson he was even willing to buy him toys..

Four; Daddy loved to smack mommy's belly and give big slobbery kisses...

Five; can you please create an indoor game parlour for him to learn how to play monopoly, chess and scrabble, because daddy was so sure he'd be a star...

Six; make sure my little munchkin is not a picky eater, I make my family and friends try everything once…

Seven; take a lot of pictures for me to look at when I pick him up someday because I don't want to miss a single thing...

Eight; please let him look upon the world to see who I am and who I've been,

Nine; please let my baby sleep with you if there is a very scary storm, his daddy gets a little afraid sometimes too...

And finally ten;.. Like I said we have a agreement you are only to baby sit him until I get there, after Daddy can handle the job...

Thank you God.....
Ours have been of pure love and bountiful sorrows!
Until the day we meet again, I remain yours
