On Saturday, 68-year-old Bob King of Tennessee needed someone to rescue him.
King has undergone several cancer treatments and suffered two strokes in the past six months. While sitting in his car waiting for his wife to return from a church event, the temperature inside reached around 120 degrees. When King tried to get out, he found that the door would not open.
Luckily, he saw 3-year-old Keith Williams walk by and started to pound on the car window. Ironically enough, Keith's mom had taught little Keith about hot car safety a few days before. Keith tried to open the door but didn't quite have enough strength to do it. The quick-thinking 3-year-old found his pastor, told him what happened – and they were able to get King out of the car.
ABC News reports on the pastor's reaction to seeing King:
“His whole body was raining sweat. His face was red like a pickled beet,”
King was taken into the church and was able to cool down. And little Keith said of King, “ I saved his life .”
