Who Did Sin?

TEXT: JOHN 9:1-7
 
Key verse: 'And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?' ( John 9:2 ).

 
The Scriptures declare that, 'The secret things belong unto the LORD our God' (Deuteronomy 29:29). There are many things man can never explain, but merely rationalises. However, Jesus knows all things.

 
This was the case with the disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ at this time as they asked, 'who did sin?' in order to explain the pitiable condition of this blind man. But the Lord was not keen on the cause but that the works of God should be made manifest. Jesus therefore spat on the ground and made clay of the spittle, and anointed the eyes of the blind man. He told him to go and wash in the pool of Siloam. The blind man, without questioning, obeyed and got his miracle.

 
As we look around us and see a lot of people with infirmities and diseases, we may be tempted to ask the same question. It is equally possible that in our lives, there are circumstances we cannot explain. We may erroneously or subconsciously believe in reincarnation and maybe thinking our misfortune could be traced to our sins or the sins of our parents.

 
Jesus, the Light of the world, has come to give us life more abundantly. Jesus is interested in removing whatever is the root cause of our problems - be it sin or Satan. God demands simple faith from us to receive our miracles. If we will not despise the clay made with spittle, the longstanding problem that may have been in our lives from our mothers' wombs can vanish away. Much more than the pool of Siloam, the ever-flowing blood of Jesus Christ is available to cleanse from all infirmities and above all, sins. Pray now in Jesus' name and get your miracle.
