There are many children in and around us who just don't want to learn! And parents will scream; teachers will be murmuring but the children remained unmoved.

Highlighted below are ten (10) characteristics of reluctant learners:

They hate school : the school building to them is like a prison yard, better to wave at it than to enter it. They don't have any good news about the school its accursed place.

They seem stubborn : very very obstinate they are. It is not what you say but what they want. Most especially when it comes to academics.

They live in their own created world : to these types of children nobody is in existence. They create and live in their own world. They always want to be the commander of their own lives, mostly when books are involved.

Prefers other things above education/school : they always rejoice when the family is going on picnics and when its holiday time. Every other thing is a welcome idea to them except school or academicals activities.

Mondays – Fridays are always their sick days : they are only hale and healthy in the evenings and weekends. But during the work days it's always a tug of war.

Seems to be intelligent but don't want to learn : children like these are proven to be intelligent are of great IQ but its proven beyond doubt that they never want to learn. (It's a personal decision taken by them not to learn).

Full of complains : they complain about each teacher even up to the maintenance officer and security man. Once its school time then it's COMPLAIN time.

Picks error : they act like perfectionist and pick mistakes of others even up to their parents and teachers. They punctuate every speech others are making.

Struggles with academical work : though it ought not to be but these set of children struggle incredibly over their academics. But note they can be active over other people's school work.

When your child or children are displaying one or more of the above stated points, they the child is a reluctant learner. What are the causes of reluctance and what are the way out? Stay tuned to this site for more.
