Relationships That Determines Your Marriage

Marriage is a relationship between two matured minds but it is also a relationship within relationships. The bulk of these relationships will determine how your marriage will be. Below are the relationship that determines the success of your marriage.

(1) YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD: God is the originator of marriage; He designed it and also determines how it should be established in order to get it right. So as singles, if you want to get it right and live right in marriage, embrace Jesus Christ, live righteously and allow God to lead and guide you in choosing your life-partner. God should not be a “rubber stamp': in your choice making, He should be involved and must have the final say. Where He cannot take the lead, He withdraws.

(2) RELATIONSHIP WITH YOURSELF: No matter who you are, no matter your condition, no matter what you are passing through, you have to build up your self-esteem. Stop looking down on yourself, see yourself as somebody very important, valuable and rightly placed.

Appreciate yourself, celebrate your gender. You are beautiful, handsome and unique. Nobody is doing you a favour for wanting to marry you and don't be moved by the threat of that brother/sister who want to break that relationship with you. Allay the fear that no one else will seek your hand in marriage, your Mr/Miss right will definitely show up.

(3) RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR PARENTS: Whether you are a male or female, you must have a working relationship with your parents. You must not be a terror to them lest you receive a curse from them which may affect your marriage adversely. Obey; learn from them especially the good side of them. Also ask & learn from their marital mistakes. Make sure you get their consent before you solemnized your relationship even if they are unbelievers.

As a sister learn kitchen, domestic chores and obedience from them because if you can't obey your parents, you will not submit to your husband.
