POWER OF DISOBEDIENCE

“And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth

 that is under thee shall be iron” (Deut. 28:23)

Disobedience is a terrible thing. Although it seems harmless, disobedience can undo your blessings. In today's reading, after God blessed Adam and Eve, they disobeyed God. As a result, God turned their blessings into curses. Suddenly, the ground lost more than 60% of its abilities to serve the human race. Most of such potentials have remained latent- buried until the millennium. Also, nuisance plants and shrubs that were not originally present began to displace healthy herbs and fruits bearing trees. Similarly, the ground would now have to wait to drink of man's sweat before releasing miserly harvests. All these could have been avoided. Do you know that every time you eat, touch, do or say what God has outlawed, you automatically reverse earlier blessings on your life? It is not until a curse is physically pronounced. This is a spiritual principle and the precedence is established in God's Word. Every act of disobedience erodes your reservoir of blessings. And if such acts continue, your blessings can become extinct!

“And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass and the earth that is under thee shall be iron” (Deut.28:23).  Apart from affecting the ground, disobedience can also affect the heavens over you.  Deut.28:23-24, says disobedience is so powerful that it can change a cloudy sky into iron, and rain into dust with the purpose of destroying the disobedient. Never mix acts of obedience with any amount of disobedience. It kills fast! What determines what the earth or Heaven will deliver to an individual is his location- whether in obedience and disobedience. Disobedience does not allow conventional blessings to deliver their inherent help. Check your life today. If you are living in perpetual sorrow, suffering, disappointment and unfulfilled desires, check and find out if it is as a result of disobedience. Some people keep trying and making efforts yet they never record any success. Several trials and efforts yet no single success. If that is your case, the Lord will deliver you today. Every curse operating in your life is destroyed now in Jesus Name.

Action Point: Examine yourself and right your wrongs. Repent from every act of disobedience. Break away from those living in disobedience and totally submit to God.
