goal and motivation

For the commandments is a lamp; and the law is light, and reproofs

of instruction are the way of life”. Proverbs 66:23

In proverbs 6:6-8, we are advised to go to the ants. From this we learn that every leader has something to learn from his subordinates if he wants to become an outstanding leader. Also, your size or limitations are not enough to affect your performance, achievements or destiny.

The reason some people will not run with their Heavenly-sent vision is their constant complain of 'No money'. No limitation in your life or circumstance can limit the abilities of God except you let it. Another lesson from the ants is that although ants do not stand the chance to live in the midst of large creatures like human beings, yet they do. They do not struggle to live-they live comfortably.

Do you know like ants, human beings do not stand a chance of survival if compared with the devil and his cohorts? Yet through the power and backing of the Holy Spirit, we do not only live, we are empowered to dominate our oppressors. This means that no unpleasant or impossible situation or circumstance is strong enough to kill your dream. Do not give up hope of excelling in that career, business or seemingly impossible place of work. Always remember that there is a survival instinct in man which the Holy Spirit can prop up. You can overcome that besetting sin. You will overpower those forces fighting against you because present in every larger than life situation, is the God who cannot be compared with the situation in the first place. In most overwhelming situations people have had to face, what kills them is not the size but their fear.

“Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler” (Proverbs 6:7). Another lesson from the ants is that they are self-motivated. If you will ever make it to your goal, you have to devise the strategy for motivating yourself. What you choose as your motivation is central to the achievement or non achievement of your goal.

For instance, if you are in ministry for money, when you do not get it, you will crash. If somebody is your mentor and that is the motivation for being in the Christian faith, the day the fellow backslides, that may be the end of your rise. Whosoever adopts mundane things-fame, recognition, material wealth, human beings, etc, as motivations, will find out that they are not enough. To be motivated throughout life, let the unchangeable God be your motivation. That way, even if everyone else crashes on the way, you will get going. You can motivate yourself into success like the ants.

Prayer point: O' Lord my father i choose you to be my motivator in Jesus name. Amen
