The 2012 Miss Earth World, Tereza Fajksová will be visiting Ghana to lend credence to the Miss earth Ghana 2013 campaigns to create awareness for the preservation of the environment through tree planting and nurturing, campaigns for a cleaner eco-system and advocacy against land degradation and abuse of our beaches.

Miss Earth Organisation Ghana believes that her visit will cement the various environmental projects spearheaded by the Government; it will be an opportunity for her to lend her voice to the campaigns that the MISS Earth Ghana Organisation has embarked upon in association and concert with the various Government Agencies.

This will indirectly serve as an endorsement from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) since she is the Agency's spokesperson.

While in Ghana, Miss Fajksová will visit His Excellency, the President of the Republic and hopefully plant a tree with him, she will visit the Honourable Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, the Honourable Minister of the Environment, the Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission and the Achimota Forest.

She will plant tress at these various locations.
She is also expected to visit Tamale in the Northern Region to be part of the ongoing tree planting and sensitization programme. In addition she will visit and speak to students of some selected schools in Tema and Tamale and together with the current Miss Earth Ghana, Miss Jennifer Kyekye Tete, crown the 2013 Miss Earth Ghana on July 12, 2013 at the National Theatre.

Tereza Fajksová was born on 17th May 1989 in Ivančice, Czech Republic. She was crowned Miss Earth 2012, during the 12th Miss Earth coronation night held at the Versailles Palace in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Philippines.

She beat 79 other international delegates in a competition that took sustainable energy as its central theme, following the United Nations General Assembly's declaration of 2012 International Year of Sustainable Energy for All

As the Miss Earth winner, Fajksova is the spokesperson for the Miss Earth Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and other environmental organizations. She has dedicated her year to promote specific projects that address issues concerning the environment and other global issues.

During her reign, she has visited several countries and has been involved in environmental projects including her pet project, campaigning for recycling. Due to the nature of her work for the environment and the protection of Mother Earth, her travels have attracted a lot of positive attention and goodwill. It has especially been a major source of positive media for the countries.

We at the Miss Earth Ghana Organisation believe strongly that the visit of Miss Tereza Fajksová, Miss Earth World 2012 will create the much needed awareness of the Government's concern for not only The United Nations Collaborative Programme on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Developing Countries (UN-REDD PROGRAMME) but its other sustained and methodical efforts to create a clean environment.
