Free health screening for Haatso residents

About 200 residents of Haatso and its environs have benefited from a health screening exercise organised by Health Concern Ghana, a health related non governmental organisation.

The exercise, organised in collaboration with the Haatso branch of UT Bank, was in commemoration of Father's Day.

The residents were screened for high blood pressure, prostrate cancer, HIV, breast cancer, eye disorders and dental problems.

The Executive Director of Health Concern Ghana, Mrs. Mary Aboagye, said the health screening was for the community but the main target was men because they did not make time for regular check-ups.

“That is why Health Concern, with the help of UT, wants to use this occasion to organise a health screening for fathers,” she said.

The Branch Manager of UT Bank, Haatso Branch, Nana Yaa Indome, said the bank decided to collaborate with Health Concern as a way of contributing their quota towards the celebration of Father's Day.

She added that their contribution was in recognition of the role of fathers in the society.

She, therefore, encouraged all to show appreciation to fathers.
