Project walkway Ghana and Impression Model house is taking on the challenge of finding Ghana's top model and fashion designer. After its launch at the African Reagent Hotel, Accra in December 2011, the reality television show is set to give upcoming designers and models the opportunity to learn from top industry professionals. The search will result in one winning model and designer. The winning designer will be set up professionally and introduced to established brands like Sandi Mabasa from South Africa, Kofi Ansah, Joyce Ababio, Ivana Annan all from Ghana, MUDi clothing from Nigeria just to mention a few. The winning model will be flown outside Ghana to other African countries to work as a professional model.
“Project Walkway Ghana is about guts, glamour and creativity. Coming from a family of girls, being on the runway with Phase One Model Agency and being a Miss Ghana finalist in the year 2000 has revealed to me how much am in love with fashion. I came up with Project Walkway Ghana as an avenue to express my love for fashion.” – Mrs. Bertha Owusu Founder/CEO Project Walkway Ghana.
The show will take place in Accra Ghana and broadcasted live on GH One TV, Metro TV and KK TV. The grand finale which will take place on Saturday the 29th of December 2012 at the National Theater will see selected models walk down the runway in garments designed by the contesting designers. This will be rated by a panel of judges; the panel will announce the winner based on their scores and other considerations.
From fabulous shades of afro inspired dresses and hot attitude to lights, camera, action…Project walkway Ghana has arrived.
