On 12th May,2012, BUZZGH and Alliance Francaise are set to organize the ultimate fashion, beauty and lifestyle exhibition and fair at Alliance Francaise in Accra.
The event dubbed, “Vogue Fair 2012” is a day's exhibition of tailored African couture by young fashion designers. The exhibition will also include accessories, make-up bars, as well as exhibition of cosmetics and beauty products.
Under the theme, “Identifying bespoke Ghanaian trends for the young Ghanaian” this event is aimed at exposing the latest trends in urban Ghanaian couture as well as beauty and accessories. It also presents a platform for unearthing and exposing young upcoming fashion designers on the scene and the trends/styles that they are bringing to bear on the market.
Suffice to say, this is one event for the city's fashionistas; as well as those who like to dress up and look beautiful, stylish and have a penchant for bespoke urban fashion made in Ghana . The full day fashion fair is open to the general public and entry is absolutely free.
According to Noela Adeyiga, the Event Coordinator, BuzzGh, the show format and exhibitor layout is carefully arranged to provide exhibitors with an optimal environment to demonstrate their products and interact with people in a personalized and relaxing manner. The idea is therefore to hold a fun affair that will keep the general public entertained whiles giving them the opportunity to savor and purchase the many different products on display.
A major highlight of the Vogue Fair is a stunning fashion show showcasing the works of established local and regional designers. The models for this exclusive runway event will feature models from the third edition of the Face of Tertiary beauty pageant which is currently showing on tv3. It will also be featured in later episodes of the reality show.
With over 20 exhibitors, fashionistas will be presented with a diverse selection of designs, styles, trends, products and services. The beauty and cosmetic exhibitors will also offer free demonstrations and treatments to all visitors.
From all indications, VOGUE FAIR is set to be the ultimate urban fashion and lifestyle exhibition/fair and already word amongst the city's fashionistas indicates that the event is will be highly patronized and is sure to become a very important one on the fashion event calendar in Ghana.
