, the affable Glo brand Ambassador and showbiz pride of the North, says there is little or no difference between singing and nursing a baby and that the two roles require the same effort and ingredients - dedication and plenty of love.

Nursing became Sherifa’s newest business beside singing when she literally added motherhood to her professional career barely four weeks ago, delivering a beautiful, bouncy baby girl who she and her fiancé, Ikechukwu Anisi fondly call Precious Iranna Ifunaya Anisi.

“Everybody tells me that I am gifted as a female musian; I know that very well, but having Iranna is clearly another special gift from God so I don’t anticipate having any problem putting the two roles together- I will sing, dance and perform while I nurse my little baby into a strong and healthy woman,’ said an elated Sherifa when a delegation from the Marketing Communications Department of Glo Mobile Ghana paid her courtesy call recently.

Along with the likes of Irene Logan, Tinny, Kwabena Kwabena, Becca, Reggie Rockstone, Gyadu Blay Ambolley, Ayigbe Edem, Pat Thomas, Paapa Yankson and film stars Jackie Appiah, Nadia Buari and Van Vicker, the northern songstress was signed on as a brand ambassador for Glo in 2009.

“Even as a three week old baby, Iranna appears to know exactly what I do for a living and how I do it. She fully understands my business and it is obvious that she will support me in my double role as an active musician and a mother,’ Sherifa said.

Only last Monday, Sherifatu achieved another of her dreams – releasing a new album, her second, a 14-track bouquet of fast-paced hilife, tinged with heavy doses traditional rhythm titled Kanji.
