Osu NPP Opens Office

A two-room office for the operations of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Osu Klottey Korle constituency in Accra has been inaugurated.

The office, equipped with modern facilities, has been rented for a period of five years at a cost of GH¢12,000 by the constituency chairman, Nii Noi Nortey. It is located at the stadium area.

He reminded the party executives of the task ahead of them and urged them to work extra hard as a team to enable the party recapture the seat which had been annexed twice but lost to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the last two elections. 'Now we have the facilities to work, we must be united and work hard like never before. We must win this seat for the party. This is the time. We must not fail,' he stated.

'The office is not just at any location, but it is situated at a place where we have our shrines and palace. It is significant for us,' Chairman Nii Noi Nortey said.

He advised the members of the NPP to guard against petty squabbles and co-operate to move the party forward.

Nii Noi Nortey also revealed the intensive training programme that the executives had been taken through before the inauguration of the new office.

Apart from political activities, the chairman also supports the youth in sports in the Greater Accra Region by organising games for them at the Osu Salem Park.

He has also put in place a welfare scheme to support party members, specifically the grass roots, in the area during funerals, naming ceremonies, and for paying of hospital bills and school fees.

Present at the inauguration was the constituency's council of elders, executives and some supporters.
