Kumasi, Feb 26, GNA - The Convention People's Party (CPP) has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing on of its former Ashanti Regional Chairman, Oheneba Osei Tutu Bonsu, popularly called, 'Nana O.T.'.

His death has been described by many a stalwart of the party, as a 'big blow and a huge loss'.Mr. Samuel Kwabena Danso, a former Regional Chairman, led tributes paid to the deceased, hailing his tremendous contribution to the party's organization and growth.

The late Nana O.T., he told the Ghana News Agency (GNA), devoted his time, energy and resources towards the building of the CPP in Ashanti - opening party offices, financing its activities and providing space for meetings.

Mr. Danso noted that his deceased comrade did not only have the courage for his convictions, but was firm, open, transparent, and had good human relations and organizational skills.

He urged the party's faithful to be inspired by his good example and redouble their efforts to build the CPP into a formidable political force ready to recapture power in 2016.
