A Central Regional Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs has prophesied that Alan Kyerematen, one of the flagbearer aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will not win the upcoming elections.
He said Alan will not get 10% of the total votes after the National Delegates Congress which barring any unforeseen circumstance will be coming on in October 18, 2014.
Allotey Jacobs after Alan decided not to step down for Nana Akufo Addo, his close contender, has been making all forms of predictions as far as Alan's candidature is concerned.
According to Allotey, there is no way Alan will win against Akufo Addo because the delegates have already chosen the latter.
He said if Alan wants to test his popularity, he should form his own political party.
Contributing to a panel discussion on PEACE FM morning show 'Kokrokoo', Allotey Jacobs reiterated that if Alan does not step down for Nana Addo, he will not be accepted in 2020.
“Alan will not get even 10%...It will be more violent if he attempts to contest the 2020 elections. The violence that will be unleashed from the NPP against him will be surprising because he refused to support Nana Addo… It will be better for him to support Nana instead of contesting him,” he added.
