According to him, he would forever trust and have confidence in them when it comes to voting.
He recalled that the delegates promised to vote massively for him at their recent special delegates' congress and they really stuck to their words, hence the need for people who seek various positions in the party not to fear delegates but have confidence in them.
Nana Addo stated this when he met the Central Regional delegates at Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality yesterday to thank them for voting for him at the super delegates' congress.
The NPP strong man emphasized the need for the delegates to vote massively for him again in the October 18 presidential primary of the party to enable him to recapture power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Government that has brought untold hardships on Ghanaians.
The aspiring flagbearer disputed allegation that he was afraid of competition and even negotiated with Joe Ghartey and Kofi Osei Amayaw who contested him, to drop from the race.
The leading contender hinted that he was ready to save his country but not to enrich himself with state funds as others had been looting the state.
'Let's work hard to transform the economy,' Nana Addo entreated.
His 2012 running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, saw Nana Addo as a man of unity, adding that for delegates of the region to give Nana Addo 94% of their votes in the super delegates congress was even an indication that the region was behind him.
Dr Bawumia expressed concern about the way the country is in serious crisis and therefore called on the NDC to hand over power to the NPP to enable them fix the country's economy.
The second Deputy Speaker in Parliament, Joe Ghartey, who had joined the unity trail to campaign for Nana Addo, noted that 'politics is not about personal interest but how to capture power.'
Member of Parliament (MP) for Asuogyaman, Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, said nobody forced him to join Nana Addo's campaign but did that because the polling station executives and the people at the grass roots had been calling on Nana Addo to come and save the country from collapsing.
