05.09.2014 LISTEN

We of the Youth Platform, a policy think-tank associated with the National Democratic Congress have been observing keenly happenings within our dear party; the National Democratic Congress. It is without prejudice that we have reached a conclusion that a lot needs to change within the party to enable the party's better Ghana Agenda have its full manifestation on the country.

It is not for this noble Think Tank to state the party's challenges publicly, nonetheless, we find it a matter of responsibility to propose a workable and sustainable solution to the party's issues especially as the party moves to elect its national officers.

To this end, the Youth Platform, after several searches and background checks believe it will be in the party's interest to put Alhaji Hudu Yahaya at the helm of the party's management.

Alhaji Hudu Yahaya has been a dedicated member of the National Democratic Congress since the party's inception. His contribution to the party cannot be overemphasised. He is an excellent leader and a unifier who always gets things done even in the face of seeming defeat.

This astute politician has served in many different capacities within the party and also in government as is already known to you. He has been northern regional Secretary of the PNDC thrice, two time General Secretary of the party, Secretary of the National Mobilisation Programme,Minister for Trade and Industry, Minister for labour among several others. He is currently a member of the legal and constitutional review committee of the party.

Due to his track record and selfless service to the party since his membership, we have taken it upon ourselves to invite him to contest the topmost position in the party; the national Chairman.

We are certain his business, leadership and political experience will reflect positively on our dear party when this noble man takes up the helm of leadership of the NDC.

We call on all party delegates to consider the party's well being and consequently that of the nation and help put him up there.

We for our part have already made a formal appeal to impress on this man of God to consider taking over to help re-engineer the structures of the party and grow the party to a stronger position than she currently finds herself.

Long live Ghana, long live the NDC.
