Dr Edward Mahama, Flag bearer of People's National Convention (PNC) has indicated that a PNC Government would extend the school feeding programme to all basic schools to ensure more children enrolled in schools.

He said the programme was a good measure that would continue to keep children in schools and the situation where only selected schools were benefiting would not address the school dropout syndrome in the country.

Dr Mahama gave the assurance at separate durbars to address communities in the Tolon Constituency to explain the Party's vision of salvaging Ghanaians on Tuesday.

He pointed out that Ghanaians had suffered under NDC and NPP Governments, therefore they should vote for the PNC to win the December polls.

Dr Mahama who is on a week's tour of some parts of the Northern Region visited Yapei, Nanton, Karaga, Nalerigu and Gushiegu where he told the electorate to reject both the NPP and NDC and vote for PNC to offer them good governance.

He said every pupil under the programme would be served with a cup of chocolate or cocoa tea as breakfast while full local breed chicken from Brong Ahafo Region, would be served during lunch to improve their nutritional status.

Dr Mahama said education, was key to the nation's development and one of the top priorities of the PNC Government, which would be carefully addressed to ensure that teachers were well motivated to teach in an atmosphere of peace of mind to improve standards.

'I would have to commend Ghanaians for their resilience, patience and the endurance they had under the harsh economic conditions of the NDC and the worse performing governance of the NPP,' he said.

'The NDC and NPP had not been able to do what Napoleon could not do to salvage Ghanaians from poverty, disease and hunger, which had increased armed robbery in the country and need to be told in plain words that they have failed the country and should not continue to peddle lies,' he added.

Dr Mahama noted that the signs of victory for PNC were clear and that, members of both NDC and NPP would have the shock of their lives when the Electoral Commission begun to announce results on December 7 and appealed to the NPP to hand power honourably to the PNC as the NDC did for them in 2001.
