The Ghanaian spiritual guru and traditional priest, Nana Kwaku Bonsam has added his usual voice to the Ghana's general elections slated for Friday by calling all Ghanaians to place the interests, security and the peace of the nation above partisan politics. He calls it Ghana First. He, however, warned anyone who is paid to cause trouble will meet his/her untimely demise via the deities and the good spirits who protect Ghana.
Nana made this call in far away New York where he is currently visiting and offering valuable service to many Ghanaians who are consulting his deity Kofi o Kofi for various assistance.
Nana who has been out of the country for over 5 months, has been monitoring the elections from his current base, said there is too much tension in the nation at the moment because of the way some politicians campaigned. He said many of the politicians from two main contending parties are very irresponsible and have diabolic intentions. He added, some of them are so obsessed with power that they will do anything to realize their political ambitions. He also cautioned the mass media to be circumspect in the way they present their programmes, news and reports about the elections.
Nana who is famous in Ghana for his apt predictions about important national events was very cautious this time to make straight out prediction about the winner for Friday. Nana was in the news recently when he confidently predicted the victory of President Obama in the States. He added that he already know who the winner is going to be but for the extreme tension we find ourselves now, it selves a better national interests to send a classified prediction to few media personnel in Ghana. He made it clear, that he does not belong to any political party in Ghana and that contenders in the elections should be ready to accept the outcome of the elections because it is the voice of the people that will be spoken.
Nana said Ghana needs peace and everybody has a role to play to make that happen. He however cautioned trouble makers that the gods who protect the nation will strike dead anyone who will foment chaos in Ghana during and after the elections. Be warned if you are a macho who is being paid to cause trouble. He, on the other hand advised that when we all work together, we will reap the fruits of our tolerance.
