| I am Miss Universe Ghana 2010. I will be representing my country Ghana along with almost 80 national title holders to compete for the title of Miss Universe. I am originally from Cape Coast/Sekondi-Takoradi. I am a 22 year old student of Medicine with a modeling career as well. I have developed a foundation named GOLD STAR, centered on the education and support of children and the under privileged people of Ghana/ Africa. Our education interest lies with HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness, international language study, reading and writing skills and women empowerment. We also raise funds and except donations to help support those impoverished. Gold Star has prospects on opening an educational learning center for the less fortunate. This will help facilitate learning in an educational stimulating environment. In 2008, I was crowned Miss Ghana USA and embarked to Ghana on a nationwide educational tour to help promote HIV/AIDS prevention /awareness, and the importance of reading and writing skills to youth. This year’s competition will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada USA between August 8 and August 23. The live final event will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, and aired live on NBC and Telemundo at 8:00pm ET on Monday August 23, 2010.
