Morocco - Atlas Lions

Morocco qualified for this nations cup after winning their qualifying matches with ease. The expectation is that they will come back home with the trophy they last won in 1976. They were also runners up in the African Cup of Nations in Tunisia 2004 where they narrowly lost to host country Tunisia in the final. They have the talent and players to take them far in the tourney. It will all depend on how they approach the tournament when they lineup in the opening match against Namibia. The return of veteran coach and former French national team coach Henri Michel will add a lot of weight and bite to their preparations when the tournament begins.

The Atlas Lions will be looking to the likes of Maroune Chamakh of Bordeaux to lead them with his goal scoring exploits. They will turn to him and Mbark Boussoufa to lead their attack. Do the Atlas Lions have what it takes to win again?
